Sad news. Those two groups are how I learned about Allan Holdsworth!

My two favorite albums are 'Angel's Egg,' and 'You.'

Steve Hillage played on those two albums. He one of my favorite guitarists. Didier Malherbe was the Sax/Flute player and he's another favorite of mine.

I hate F'ing hate cancer too.

If you asked me "Name a band that's way out there" my first thought would be Gong. They might seem silly at times, the musicianship and tight playing make them legit.

Sad, that Daevid is out to lunch...but we eat at the same restaurant. I hope he does O.K. with it all.

Gong was great, I don't think it would have ever happened if those guys didn't actually get kicked out of various countries.

Love Steve Hillage, I listen to Kahn Space Shanty pretty regular, great proggy stuff.

I love Space Shanty also. I always thought Fish Rising was his Magnus Opus. It's just so hard to make something seem tightly rehearsed and improvised at the same time, but somehow that album pulled off that feel. You think to yourself, "This is a awesome jam," and then think "there is no way these changes could be improvised."
