Just curious to learn more about my amp.

Got a lot of basic similarities with the 2303 Marshall 50/100.

How about that cathode bias pot! Is it used to adjust the frequency response of the output stage while the bias is handled by the fixed bias adjust?
Tube junkie that aspires to become a tri-state bidirectional buss driver.

You set the max bias with an internal trimpot, and the control lets you have an adjustable cathode bias on the front. It is a cool idea, but I took it out because it is awful sounding and was noisey.TUBEDUDE wrote:How about that cathode bias pot! That's the RMS control, you can "miniaturize" your Sundown by spinning it down, or was it up? Also note the "governor" which shorts drive to output tube grids as you dial it, um, ccw or was it cw. Well either way these were novel ideas that didn't much continue. Seymour Duncan's Convertible had a similar RMS control, and lots of amps a full PPIMV.TUBEDUDE wrote:How about that cathode bias pot!
