Well I'm starting on a giraffe of cabernet to better ponder this.
So far I vote yes, but there again no.
And a definite no on the poodle section - sorry Tony, I can't stand poodles.

My inclination was to vote yes. But I just voted no. There are already plenty of guitar forums , and pedal forums, etc. I believe that the forum creep would , in the end , make for a worse amp garage.

I voted yes. But... Only if the new area concentrates on building, repair, refinishing, re-fret work and things that are not trivial. I would not visit an area which just showed guitar pictures and talked about new pickups (unless said pickups were hand made).

I think the question is will our luthiers be willing to take the time to contribute. I've built a couple of guitars from scratch cut the logs up and everything but I'm don't think I know enough to help folks

I just scrolled through the sticky of Telentubes building the LP. I retract my no vote on the poll and think we could use a guitar/bass forum devoted to people with talent. I also move that Telentubes's thread be moved to the top of that forum as a sticky.

I think it should be diy oriented. If we do it . I think just showing off your new guitar or questions about production guitars could stay in the garage
