I'm not a big believer in part mojo. MF resistors (KOA Speer), metalized film caps (Mallory type 150) are ok with me.
But wait... Elsewhere you said "'Im running it with just 2 el34's, w/cab imp at 1/2." First that's the wrong way to compensate for pulling two tubes (impedance selector should be at half of cab ohms); secondly it's more likely a 2203.
can replace my el34's with a quad of el84's?

MM-concur...i just stated it wrong...i'm meant my amp imp selector is set to 1/2 of the the cab imp.

Ok cool. Note that 4x 6V6 will give you about the same power output as 2x EL34. To further reduce it you'd have to go to 2x 6V6 and quadruple the impedance (16 ohm cab running on the 4 ohm setting). See where your voltage is too, so you can bias accordingly.
