Good Radial Power Supply Caps?
Are there good brands for radial power supply caps? If there are what should I look for that makes good caps for a power supply?
Re: Good Radial Power Supply Caps?
I order radials from mouser and newark. Nichicon and Panasonic are good and inexpensive.
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com

The F & T brand has been good so far and a good dollar value also!

Take a look at the Nichicon PW series.
This is a very nice, long-life cap that is readily available.

The VZ series is a very popular cap, just not quite as expensive as the PWs, and a hair smaller in most values.
You can go to 450 volts with these, at up to 100uF. The 47uF/450V PW is great for filter caps in a guitar amp.
F&T is great also, as are the BC components caps that are popular in the UK from Farnell, but Newark carries them, as do Mouser and Digi-Key in some values/sizes.
