Two Rock Sterling on ebay w/ gut shots

Post by tomrasdf »

Anyone know how close these are supposed to be to a SSS? I know that's what they're supposed to me modeled after, but does anyone know if the T-R guys had any clue what they were doing?

Let me preface that. I'm sure they had some clue what they were doing or else he wouldn't be asking $9k. I'm just curious about the accuracy of their design. Was this a clone? Or just their best guess? I don't see a cf in the power section, and in all the pics I've seen posted in the forum the boards are mounted around the tube sockets.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I'm pretty sure he has the schematic - therefore I would guess it's pretty damn close.

Does anybody have or can anyone acquire this elusive schematic? Would a little $$$ help to get this mystery readily available for the rest of us? What would someone want to draw out the schematic?

I've been down this road, no one will share!!!

Joe Mloganowski is a member here, although he's pro'lly just trolling for ideas to swipe so that they can increase the price to $20K, He Ignores the question, and shares nothing.

Well that calls for some action...gotta get on the path to finding a real SSS or picking the guts of that sterling to bits...I saved all the photos so I'll get those up...f*ck theives not letting the rest of us theives steal from mr HAD...gdbs if you ask me...ok...ok...I have the access to the cnc laser cutter for the boards with real wood....hey funk do you think you could help lead the charge to get a schematic...I would love to cut rosewood boards for a new run and see a lot of new SSS's out there :) Maybe that would help the $20k tag... Where does this Joe Mloganowski live???

I laughed when I read this. :) There are more such members in the BB, by the way.

FWIW, That's not rosewood, it's formica. My CNC guy thinks he can punch it like he does my G-10.

Real SSS's are PCB, And I believe it is just the clean side of the ODS with those HI/Lo filters and reverb.
