Hey that looks great! I'm gonna try KT77s in fixed bias, and that supply looks good. It's basically the Express supply, as my last SD was converted from an Express, and I kept the PS. Presence will be the Naylor presence.

Board is coming along. The only thing I'm debating is whether to move the 1K25W somewhere else. Usually when I sub for a choke, I use a 5W with no issues, but I have had a 5W blow in an express, so I'm being a bit cautious and maybe even superstitious.. I'll be monitoring the heat nonetheless.

Perhaps when you are done tweaking the amp and have it running tonewise like you want, you could share the schematic IF you are comfortable doing so?

You can use PAINT to edit the GIF or ExpressSCH to edit the editable version.

Have fun with the build! With respect, Tubenit

Can we have this thread framed?
Maybe make it a sticky?
Nice.

It should be presumed that this is NOT a Naylor schematic & that it has probable errors and is only a DRAFT idea for discussion.

It has some interesting switching ideas in it that I thought were worth noting. I have no idea if this would even work or what it would sound like?

I simply pieced together schematics from different amps for this drawing. Example is the bias control is for an 5F6-A Bassman. I don't know if this should be cathode biased? I don't know if the negative feedback as drawn would be appropriate? I found different schematics on the net & simply guessed on some things.

There is an editable SCH version attached. I have no plans to build this amp.

CHECK for errors! Compare layout with schematic. IF there is a discrepancy, then go with schematic. We'll have to wait until Smokebreak gets this up and running and shares a revised schematic.

Looks like Christmas came early for you Mark :D

Lookin good 10thTx! We'll get the specifics of this build notated once it's all said and done, but for now:
The spdt at the input(on the schematic), and the parallel dpdt switcher are either linked per 2 relays, or as a single 3pdt(for panel mount, if one didn't want to use relays).
Of course , the builder can choose how to set up the switching as far as what uses relays or panel mount operation, but I believe a spst(1/2 a relay) needs to be added for the input, on the layout...Or, a 3pdt that combines the 2. I'm working on a faceplate so I'll get that up soon. Cheers-J

I corrected the layout several posts up and added a relay that I previously left out in response to Smokebreak's edit.
