Metallized polypropylene caps such as Solens and other DC LINK type power caps have quite low ESR and so might feel or sound a bit different than electrolytics. YMMV. I like the reliability factor over electrolytics but, as mentioned, they require some changes in layout to accommodate the larger footprint. I have heard and played amps built with motor run (oil filled ASC polypropylene) and they sound just fine. Did not notice a huge difference however, sounded just as good or perhaps clearer than electrolytic built amps.
