Nice that will be a good looking Bass amp.
I have one of those chassis/faceplates.

Re: D Super
I'm going 5E4A with the D Deluxe PI. I have some .022 630v Philips
KS 447 Polystyrene capacitors on the way when I get them will drill
the board. Tweed Super 2 x 10" cabinet and two Celestion gold speakers.
So if I decide down the road to change out the PT for a pair of 5881
Steve.

						Re: D Super
I had a few transformer sets from the D Deluxe build and used one in this build.
This build has a Blackface Deluxe PT and a Mercury FTDO-59 OPT I changed the 1202-139
sounds the same. I had a custom baffle made for a single 12" speaker. No 2 x 10"
The best way I can describe the sound is clean and worm through my bench test speaker.
V-1, 187.5v/187v Tweed Bandmaster/ Tweed Super preamp. Now V-1 black plate 5751
V-2 GE 7025 V-3 GE 7025 I have a pair of matched NOS 12AY7 on the way will try that in V-1
and 12" speaker roulette and find out what the amp likes. It's a mongrel not sure what to call it.
With a tad of delay and reverb it sounds close to Ronnie Montrose GAMMA recordings.

Re: D Super
It's a done deal now. I had to much bass on the low E string with
Celestion and Jensen speakers. Used a JBL-D120F I didn't want to use it
to heavy but it cured the problem. I'm sure my Bass player will love packing this amp around

V-1 12AY7 NOS V-2 12AX7WA NOS V-3 RFT ECC802S Then JJ 6L6S and
JJ/Telefunken GZ34-TK. This amp goes out with respect to Ronnie Montrose
It sounds just like his early recordings with a Burst it should same preamp.
Steve.

						Re: D Super
Never ending Now the preamp is a known Hendrix JTM45-100
Dumble style PI Brown face Deluxe power amp.
Played two shows with it I'm happy now.
Best regards, Steve.
