i would get another step bit for the smaller holes  with smaller increments and use it to start larger holes too.that step drill with the 1/8" increments  will really grab ive had it actually bent a steel chassis when it bound up using a hand drill though.

Update. I really, really hate stainless. Good god. I won't make that decision again! In good news, got most of the holes drilled sans the transformer cutout.
