Is this thread rigged so Gerry can't see it, or is he just ignoring it?

Oh DRAT! And I was just about to enter my plumbing-analogous theory of EVERYTHING, that sure would have cleared up all misunderstandings and workarounds involving tinker toys and/or Rube Goldberg routines. Ah well. Flush that idea...

You're right - this isn't rocket science. Bomb science is plenty!

I still don't understand exactly why everyone got so cheesed off by that thread. I was just getting close to leading Gerry to an epiphany :(

Also, only 16 people voted to get rid of him, whereas 20 people voted to keep him, and you STILL kicked him off! Shame on you.

Merlin, looking at the statistics, 27 people voted to get rid of him (or it, intended as a bot) and 9 to keep him.

I hope someone wrote to him before erasing his account, explaining reasons and so on. A deleted account without any explanation usually turns into flames.

I thought "get rid of it" meant get rid of the thread, not the OP.

I never voted but I didn't think it was necessary to kick him out/off. He was at least articulate and apologetic when he came off as insulting. His intentions became clear eventually but those still interested in helping were doing so. Ultimately it's up to the admins what happens around here so the final call has already been made. Won't agree or disagree, will just go along with it.

Maybe you are right Merlin, I just saw a question demanding if he was a human or a bot and intended the "it" as above.

The response is 75% negative, and only one vote is allowed so a choice between get rid of the thread or the individual had to be made. I'm sure there are some who would have voted for both. For a variety of reasons, that is just not the kind of person I want to hang out with.
