very much an audiophile item, but i"m intrigued as far as temperature rating and durability go.

I don't like the pin posts, I like eyes on the bottom of the sockets.

I also at times find it necessary to bend the eyes outwards to get enough room, unpossible with the pins.

The Teflon in theory should damp some vibrations, but you can float a socket with O rings on the mounting bolts.

I'm unconvinced of the value of gold plating here. Wouldn't rhodium make more sense?

I think I actually like these better, it keeps you from putting too much solder on the pins. Could make for some very clean lead dress as well.
