My new board is ready, I pulled the board from my Tweed Deluxe clone. ( probably just get another chassis, PT and OT ect... someday and revitalize it).
I already had the 5E3 board which I never used to begin with. Drilled some additional holes , put in about 15 additional eyelets and went with it.

Thanks again Charley, your hand drawn layout was my main guide.

IMO, If you really like your your 5e3, you will like this amp even more.

I just finished mine up today. It really is an improvement from my original 5e3.

My voltages are coming in a little lower than Charley's
360 vdc on power tube plates
21 vdc on cathodes

about 173 vdc on both V1 plates.
V2 1 is 203vdc
V2 6 is 248vdc

My PT is putting out 322 vac with 121 vac on the primary.

Using JJ GZ34S, JJ 6V6's

Still sounds great even with only 360 on the plates. It's a 5e3 on steroids.

What PT are you using?

I rechecked my voltages. I was plugged into a Furman regulator and my primary was actually 118VAC.
At 121 VAC I'm getting 360 VDC on the plates.

The PT is a Mercury Magnetics FTDP-350.
I think the JJ GZ34S may be funky, because I recall having 350 DVC on the plates of my original 5e3 with a RCA 5Y3 rectifier.

With 315VAC on my PT secondary, I should be getting @ 410 VDC unloaded from the rectifier.

The amp still sounds extremely good. Very happy

This really is a fun amp to play. I'm really liking how it sounds with a Tele and Strat, I find I prefer the bright channel with them. Haven't spent much time with humbuckers yet.
I had the bright Vol on about 4 and the normal channel on about 10, Tone on 6, brings it right in on the edge of breakup up with lots of pleasing overtones.
The low end stays nice and tight.
I may try some Sylvania 6V6's soon.
This is gonna be a nice amp to grab and go for practice or gigs.

I'm using a Weber 12F125-O 30 Watt speaker.

322 VAC x 1.3 = 418VDC ?

Or is it 360VDC due to the loading at the first filter cap?

Chip what is your voltage pin 8 on the GZ34 and pin 4 on the 6V6
voltage loaded.

I used a MOJO756EX 384-0-384 PT pin 8 GZ34 399 VDC
B+2 pin 4 6V6 360 VDC. under load. So if you have 360 VDC on pin 4
you got it.

I dont ever recall getting as high as 1.3 even with a Mullard or other vintage GZ34 in even a fixed bias amp. In this circuit, I don't think you are far off considering your PT is only around 319 @ 120V under load.

I set my PT up so that it should be no more than 370V or so with a GZ34.

At this time (due to fluctuating incoming house voltage) I'm getting 372 VDC at pin 8 on GZ34 and 340 VDC 0n pin 4 , 358DVC on Pin 3 of the 6V6"s.
I'm using a Merc Mag FTDP 350 PT, so I guess that's the reason I'm 30 volts lower than yours.
That's the PT I originally had in my 5E3.
I may look in to the Merc Mag 380 version.

I'm close to that right now, my preamp voltages are about right on.
The amp does sound great, so I may just let it be for now, enjoy it and play the crap out of it.
