Hi All,
I thought I'd post a quick update.
In the last three months, I have lost 43 lbs and 6" off my waist. But more importantly, here are my 7-, 14- and 30-day blood glucose averages, according to my meter:
7 Days: 94
14 Days: 98
30 Days: 104
99 is considered the highest non-diebetic reading.
Back in February, I was prescribed Metformin HCL 500mg, two times per day. Since the beginning, I have only been taking one per day. I guess I am just a rebel at heart.

But seriously, I want to get off this medication as well as the other two I am currently taking, and my glucose readings are well within normal while taking only one per day.
I am up to 40 minutes a day on the treadmill (brisk walk). My wife and I are doing power yoga three days per week - and, we've started riding our bicycles every few days. I've got about 93 more pounds to lose, but I am feeling so much better already.
Thank you for all your well-wishes. It means a lot to me.
Lou
