50 watt 102

Post by dcribbs1412 »

Had some 50 watt iron and some misc parts so I decided to
try and squeeze a 102ish circuit into a JTM style chassis. 40uf on V1 and V2,
tube loop is pretty quiet. Relay for FET with pot on front, no R/J switch
wired in Rock mode. No LNFB on V1, 100pf snubbers on V2
250kA pots for OD and Level
Running 7581's with 463V on plates biased at 35ma.
Voltages are all decent V1-203 V2-205 V3-296
Kinda diggin it with a strat more and more
Might be headed for a grab n go 1x12 cab

Thanks guys
tracking down a pop in the FET relay.
I just found a 100 watt Marshall OT looking at me from across the room.
I will fight the urge...for now

I ordered a Zoom recorder... I'll see if I can get some sort of clip of ridiculous wanking :)

I actually went back and used some at this spot
I was getting a little oscillation and radio interference.
Still gettin a pop from the FET relay when I activate it.
Pop gets louder as volume goes up

First try at a clip...clean with a strat
sounds like I'm in slow motion or under the influence of something :)

Here's a shot at mindless wanking
with the OD engaged...not sure the delay is helping
comments are appreciated.
