I am looking for a replacement benchtop multimeter, lab quality with high precision. The catch is we would like to be able to measure current to 10A, if possible. Our current meter is an Agilent 34410A which appears to be on the verge of failure. It can measure current to 3A (fused). For the next meter, higher current handling is preferred, but I realize that may not be a common feature. We have a shunt for high current measurement, but it is not the preferred method because of error and added series resistance.
Thanks in advance.

The only things I'd recommend would have Fluke on the front.
Spendy though...
Good luck.

Take a look at the Keithley 2400 series. I think they have a version with the specs you want. Theses are great pieces of test equipment. We have been using them for years at work. They ain't cheap.
Re: Benchtop Multimeter: Recommendation wanted
VB, thanks a lot for the tip on Keithley. The 2400 and 2450 only seems to measure up to 1A but I haven't looked at others in the series yet. They look very nice. We are looking for a high quality instrument so it's understand that it will be expensive. This is for a research application and many bells and whistles are desired.vibratoking wrote:Take a look at the Keithley 2400 series. I think they have a version with the specs you want.
