Nice!

I'm just powering mine up, too. But my bias voltage is way too much at -50v. I need to get it down to -15.

Well, it ain't a glamour puss, but you've got nice, economical lead dress. Nicely laid out.

Interesting choice to use metal film resistors everywhere. Do you choose them on purpose?

budget, i bought a whole 'lot' of those, ten or so of all kinds of values, on the cheaps and i have resistors for days. i could have pieced out resistors but they wouldnt match.... i like matching things....

on a zener note -> go with a 56v or higher, the whole switchable function is cool and all but its between 16.4W - 18.8W not exactly noticeable. this will be labeled the "tone" switch or talent or something....

It's really more of a hole in the ground where he hides from his hordes of fans. It's covered with leaves and brush and there are traps set all around it so be careful. That's also where he goes to spy on TAG.

hey thanks john! yours are on their way. im thinking these would be great for just PS components on normal builds.

this thing rocks and i havent even put in any good tubes in it, all beat up chinesese ones 'cept the rec from blackburn. i can't wait to start tube rolling with my limited stash!

Be sure your tinfoil hat has a good low impedance ground.

thanks for the kind words, what are you dissipating per tube? cuz i am at 16.4W at the 56v zener! almost 19W with the 25v zener...

Not having a problem with the amp, it's just that all these motorcycles are getting in my way....

Nah not really. I just got friends who wanted me to help them figure out a couple other things on a Voxac30, and a messy booger but I am back to it.

I'm only using the one (56 or 58 volt) zener but haven't put voltage to it yet. Dang when you're old, life gets crazy once in a while.

Didn't you cook your breakfast omelet with the 25v Zener? :P
