the speaker cab is an Avatar with a Celestion Blue/ G12H 30 combo ... perfect match for the amp, IMO.

my thanks to Paul, and johnspeck for the inspiration

thanks kindly for the comments!

Paul was great to work with. As soon as I told my friend Sam I'd ordered a Rocket based amp, he ordered an Express from Paul. Then when he played mine, he ordered another one like it. :)

I had a friend at my last job who is a woodworker. We had a decent shop, so I got the maple online, and he built it. I dyed the wood a light amber, and Glen shot clear nitro over that. Looks KILLER in person -- warm golden color with a mirror finish.
Paul was kind enough to add some reinforcing after a shipping problem. :(

And, oh yes ... it sounds terrific. I picked it up from my friend Sam. He played it at a couple church services with about 1000 people. The amp cut through well, maintained clarity, and took pedals VERY well.

Great amp!

the shipping would KILL you though, so you probably would rather use some of the great woods down there, like black acacia
