scratchy guitar volume pot with ecstasy?

The volume pot on my guitar makes noise when rotating it but only with my Bogner amp? Does this mean I have a leaky cap some where in the bogner?It's a 101b bogner xtc.

More likely a bad input tube.

Did you try a tube swap?

I never heard of that but, you guys are right. Changed theV1 tube and all is well, thanks. Can I still use the tube in other positions other then v1 or will it cause damage? thanks again saved me a ton of time on this one.
