Handwired Weber 59 Bassman amplifier Overdrive pedal woes?

Post by mishka »

I have a Sligo Amp 59 Bassman which is a weber kit. I also have a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet that I liek to use. I have notice if I try to use the overdrive it sounds tinny and thin through my bassman. Why is this?

1. Bad/cheap cables

2. Poor power supply voltage or amperage - ensure the power supply is adequate for the pedal. That pedal has a high amperage draw and can run w\ anywhere from 9 - 18 volts - ensure the power supply is correct.

3. Settings on the pedal

What does this pedal sound like through other amps? Can you A/B another amp with this pedal to determine if it is indeed a pedal issue or an amp issue?

Post a photo of how the pedal is set up right now so we can view the settings - maybe something is set incorrectly.

So I use monster cables and voodoo lab pedal power 2 power supply. The pedal is a fulltone fulldrive2 MOSFET and it does not sound like this with other amps like my blues junior etc. I will upload a picture later when I'm back at my house. [/list]
