Always carefully wearing footwear in the shop, which is my office desk transformed by pushing everything to the back of the desk, then learning that some little clipped leads have been tracked into the bedroom.

I'm way ahead of you on footwear, I was going to recommended: don't drill (especially with a Unibit!) a chassis in bare feet. Yes, I know, and I spent every minute while doing it thinking "put it all down and go get shoes, jackass", but sometimes the jackass in you just wins.
Hey Janna we have the exact same shop set up, except i don't have carpet I have hard tile, so when I drop my last 4/40 nut, or one of those itsy bitsy screw fuckers from the back of MacbookPro, it's an all day adventure.
