Re: Building an amp

It does work. We've been doing these for a number years because we love doing it. It is just as gratifying for us as it is for the builders. Everyone has their own "best way" of learning something. Some of us learn best with some initial guidance from other knowledgable people like when we learned to play guitar. Others could just pick up the guitar and run with it. I do sense some negativity from some individuals implying a class like ours is a waste of time and money. Search for comments from previous amp class attendees to see the positive aspects.

My intent was not to demote your class in any way..I am sure many people get good training from your class.. However you coming here (with only 2 previous posts) and your quote below shows you have no interest in helping others..But only to promote your class..
All your questions will be answered ..... At the class
As this is a great forum with a great tradition of helping others who are DIY'ers and Pro's share ideas here and experience so we may learn from and build great amps..

I would like to invite you (as I am sure others would as well) to participate in our wonderful forum as well as promote and announce your classes here.. :D ..That would be great!!
There are plenty of talented builders here too!!

This is my opinion... With all due respect!!..

You are correct. I did come to promote the class. I found you by searching "amp building classes" and it took me to this post. I did not know such a big community was here. I enjoy interacting with others on forums and intend to do so when I have something useful to contribute. I did not mean to come off as arrogant or selfish. I really am just a nice guy who enjoys teaching others what took me decades to learn as there was no internet "back then". Please forgive me for coming off in a negative way.

Welcome Bruce - there's a few of us members live in Michigan.
There is a strong sense of community among the regulars here.
Almost like a family. We can become very protective of that at times.
Regarding the classes, I think it's a great way to get people started safely.
A very worthwhile endeavor. Good luck with it.

Bruce, I was shooting a music video a few week s ago and the lead guitarist
was playing a Marshall that you had done some mods to. It was one of the finest sounding amps/marshalls I have heard. Bravo.
