JTM15 Redux
Here is a new build. Sorry for the bad lighting and poor quality pictures.
I stripped down the previous "JTM 15" I built. I wasn't happy with the layout and the swiss cheese chassis.
I ordered a custom chassis from RJ as well as his Edcor 15 watt power transformer (270 - 0 - 270) which gives me a B+ of 375 volts. I must say, the chassis I get from RJ are top notch quality. The Edcor transformer is pretty sweet as well.

Nice! I thought I was looking inside a vintage Hiwatt for a minute

Thank you!
I'm drinking wine to celebrate the amp and that it is still 10 degrees outside (instead of 20 below) at 11:00 pm!

Beautimous Jana, right down to the lacing cord - again !
Those pics demonstrates what a build should look like.
Easy to do - all it takes is knowledge, planning, skill, time & patience...
Well Done. Thanks for sharing.
We had above freezing temps yesterday - 40 degrees at one point !!!.
Big, bright thing in the sky. Shorts & tee shirt weather.
Snow again for today.

Re: JTM15 Redux
Very nice indeed! I like the dramatic lighting.
Must be you liked the amp's tone enough to rebuild it in a new chassis. Does it still have it? Any other differences in the power supply besides the new PT? Checking the old thread, you were after lower plate voltage I guess.

Re: JTM15 Redux
Spectacular & meticulous! And I bet it sounds outrageous too. ;D
Does me good to see work of this quality. Especially compared to the most recent bench fix I just did - straightening out Tommy Ten Thumbs' attempt at building his Mojo tweed Deluxe kit. Oh there wasn't much, only about a dozen errors. What a circus.
Enjoy your heat wave. It's supposed to get above freezing today (finally!) here in upsnake You Nork.

Re: JTM15 Redux
Thanks everyone.
I do like the amp. I haven't had a chance to turn it up (apartment life) but hope to get a chance next week.
Preliminary results are 11 watts clean, 21 watts pushed to the max.

Re: JTM15 Redux
It should sound as good as it looks! That is a textbook old school build, Jana.
Noobies take note, this is how it's done.
I like Bob's chassis and his Edcor iron too, a winning combination in my book.
