Since I had some 100k resistors laying around after replacing the resistors on the PI tube plate, I deicded to replace a few more, mostly on the normal channel.
All of the noise associated with the PI tube are gone and the Normal channel is perfectly quiet, but now I've got quite a bit of TV/hiss/whitenoise on the Vibrato channel AND for some reason the reverb on this amp has never worked. The Vibrato works, and I can play guitar through channel 2 but there is a lot of noise that goes with the volume. I swapped V4 and V5 to see if that had any effect and it didn't.
I'm just blindly replacing stuff now, really. It's gotten to the point where I realize the components in this amp suck so horribly that replacing them is probably a good idea whether they're bad or not...
Howdy guys, need help with a Fender 65 SRRI.

Re: Howdy guys, need help with a Fender 65 SRRI.
All said and done:
Replaced several of the 100k plate resistors, replaced several caps and resistors associated with the power tubes, fixed the power tube wiring which was wrong from the factory, put in new power tubes (I chose Sovteks out of cheapness, but they actually sound pretty nice biased to about 35mv), swapped out a few of the 12AX7's, cleaned all of the pots and reflowed some solder joints...
Then I put it back together to find that one of the inductors on the reverb tank had an intermittent short, so I ordered a new MOD tank for it.
Again, I'm just amazed at the horrible quality of this amp. Fender really did a crap job.
The friend I'm fixing it for plans to sell it as soon as he gets it back. I told him that was a good idea.... I mean, it's fixed but who knows what's next.
Thanks for all of the help everyone!
