Comprehensive Tube Rectifier Voltage Chart

Post by David Root »

Thought I'd post this, I ran across it a few weeks ago and found it very useful, has far and away the most tubes in it I have ever seen.

I recommend it as a sticky.

Does not list max uF cap but that is sort of fuzzy anyway, up to a point.
It even lists the 6BY5G, which is a dual diode TV damper tube, ultra tough and cheap, but a good FW rectifier if you can handle the non-standard pinout.

It also has several pages of very detailed commentary and even a list of SS equivalent resistor sizes and wattages if you want to simulate a tube rectifier's sag without using the tube.

Always interesting to have a gander at what somebody else thinks.

Excellent.
The little history of the 5Y3 was a good read.
I followed the link at the top of the page, nice old-school web site there.
