Does your offer apply only to guitar amps, or does it extend to vintage hifi transformers as well?
I know there are some complex McIntosh output transformers that are unobtainable.
How do we figure out if you already have a particular transformers data?

One thing we would really appreciate is feedback on what you would want to see on a website that sells transformers. We genuinely want to help out the fellow gear head as much as we can.

I can't post drawings of our parts schematics on the internet. Maybe somewhere down the line that policy will change regarding certain parts, but that is like asking for missile launch codes. We are here to make the parts.

It certainly would not follow good business practices to post intellectual properties of customers specific designs.
What would be expected to be shared of the Pacific offerings would be (using an OT as example) 1) a hookup diagram and 2) simple specifications listing such as Primary (4k4 ohms), Secondary (4, 8, 16 ohms), power rating, foot print hole dimensions, size and weight and possibly steel type. Of course these are generic specs and there is no reason not to share.
What would be expected to be shared of the Pacific offerings would be (using an OT as example) 1) a hookup diagram and 2) simple specifications listing such as Primary (4k4 ohms), Secondary (4, 8, 16 ohms), power rating, foot print hole dimensions, size and weight and possibly steel type. That's exactly it. The knowledgeable end users are looking for that stuff when acquiring a part. If one wanted to change any of that, it can be done, but wouldn't be the same price. We are looking to offer a direct replacement, and an upgrade 'tweaked' part each. The upgraded parts will offer a lot higher frequency response than the original. It will also 'remove the back-pressure' so-to speak, making like playing guitar through a sports car...but Im assuming most of you already know what it feels like playing through a Trainwreck. Those parts will be left alone. I'm already confused because their are three different stock numbers for the Trainwreck Pacific PT and OT already and I don't know which ones were actually a Trainwreck stocking part based TW experts.

And unless your going for a custom made one, it would be easier to list,what they are or what they are used for..
At least if you going to sell to the public. Kind of like , if a person needed a reverb tank for a 65 deluxe rev. Look up that reverb tank for that amp. or just tell the sales person that's what you want. Plus some may think the grey one sounds better than the black one or vice versa..

It's all fraught with peril that I say anything here... Business stuff sucks compared to building cool technical accomplishments in the tube amp world. Maybe we can work with Dave to get him to share some Trainwreck history and a couple Ken Fischer stories??
I am working with Dave Thomas and I think the good relationship I have had with Pacific will continue in the future. They are moving forward with their efforts to supply audio transformers to the amp builders on both large and small scale efforts and we should all benefit. I typically buy 25 units at a time so I will get a good enough price break that I should be able to sell them to you cheaper than they would 1 or 2 at a time... this is pretty simple stuff in basic business practice and they need it to work that way as much as I do, so I'll go with that strategy for now.
What may have surprised us all was that when I talked with Dave, he was just becoming aware of all our vast knowledge and experience with Trainwreck amps... He came upon the TAG forum in doing some marketing research. He knew he had the right transformers for us but it wasn't immediately clear that we already knew that he had them... We were not as famous for being the greatest collection of Trainwreck info on the planet as I might have thought... in fact he had never heard of me

I have three sets of Trainwreck Numbers, Mine, K&M Analog Audio, and Another that somebody accidentally posted and was quickly removed... but not before I wrote it down. I asked for a comparison through my Pacific rep and he verified for me that they were all exactly the same. He also added a note from Pat Thomas (CEO and father of Dave Thomas) that shared with me how Ken and Randy Ferwerka developed the Wreck transformers there in Aneheim, near the magic Kingdom... I posted that note somewhere here on the TAG forum at one time.
There have been three transformers that I had Pacific develop for me as "Wreck" specification transformers in the past couple years.
1 - the power transformer - this was an easy request for me. I simply asked them to wind the same exact transformer with the same core and specifications as the K&M tranny, but add a 250 volt tap and a 5V tap. This allows us to use it to copy some of the old Liverpool amps and also to be used as a Rocket power tranny.
2 - the output tranny - again I asked for a clone of the K&M Wreck output tranny with an extra set of taps at 5.2K - allowing us to make a Liverpool clone.
3 - The Rocket Output Tranny - this one was different and their engineers worked from scratch on this. We started with a set of drawings that have kicked around on various forums including this one. These drawings (2 or 3 if I recall correctly) provide the Dynaco wind specs for a Rocket and maybe also included an original Dynaco drawing - I don't recall entirely. We worked back and forth on this because the Wreck drawings had a fatal flaw (imbalance) in the windings... bad drawings or bad design?? Their engineer was really a savvy transformer designer guy and said he followed the logic and intentions and created the Pacific 7-layer wind that I now sell as a Rocket output tranny... it sounds completely awesome!
BTW - for those that stuck with me this long, I'll give you a nugget of cool info. Look up Chris Merrin. He was supposed to have been the guy that worked with Ken on AC-30 output transformer designs.

I thought you meant wiring diagrams with wire ID/color code, output voltages, and current rating. Standard and essential information I would absolutely expect be provided ..... yet isn't posted on at least one transformer maker support page I can think of.
I don't think any of us expect the Colonel to give up the secret recipe of herbs and spices.

Just got done meeting with the current Pacific engineers and manger of sales, including my old man who founded the company. Ken only used these two part numbers in regular production:
Power Tranny: 11410
Output Tranny: 11415
They were used and are the originals. These are the direct OEM replacement for your Express, Liverpool, and Rocket Wrecks, these are the two we're selling.
Whomever was confused about the different model numbers you may have found in Pacific, those are parts that are still in our files, but never used for production. Ken didn't feel right about them, and scrapped them. We kept them. We actually have 9 part numbers affiliated with Ken. One choke, 4 power and 4 output parts.
