Trying to use the search engine for line out returns every post with the word line or out in descending order. After scrolling 5 pages and only finding a coulple useful I decided to start a new thread to save days of searching and quite possibly my sanity.
Question is:
Would tapping a line out from Octal Preamp pin 2 through a .1 600v cap as M Fowler suggested present the same high frequency/thin tone problems as tapping speaker outs? Also what about impedance issues tapping from preamp? Or would going through DI solve impedance issues?
This is for 5B6 Bassman so I really need to retain low freqs. and I don't want changing amp volume for stage volume to affect the board levels when playing through mixer, so preamp tap seems to be best option.
If I need go the speaker out mod, any recommendations as to r1/r2 and cap values would be appreciated.

Re: Preamp line out
When you do a search with multiple terms, make sure you select the "Search for all terms" button is selected (this is not the default setting, so you have to select it). This may or may not help, as there are a boatload of posts here. Adding more search terms may help in some cases.

Thanks, just tried that and returned same results.
