JTM 15

Post by Jana »

A new build--a JTM 15 (thanks Leo Gnardo for the name).

It's a 2 * 10 combo with a pair of 6V6 for the output. It has a high and low input with the triodes bridged internally.

:)

It is basically a JTM with 6v6 though?

Chat it up, yo!! I like twin 10s.

Bad ass! Voltages? Layout? Schematic? Trickery? Sharpie colored white ground wire?

I think so. I get the versions mixed up.

It has a 12AY7 for the first tube (which is more like a bassman).

The first tube is shared cathodes 820R/320uf.

.027uf coupling for the normal channel.

.0022uf coupling for the high treble channel with a 100pf bright cap on the pot.

270K mix resistors--no treble peaker cap on either.

56K slope, 250pf treble cap.

Old style 5K presence pot with .1uf cap--47K feedback to the 8 ohm tap.

395 volts on the plates (higher than I wanted it--I would like about 360).

6600 ohm Deluxe OT.

A pair of Celestion Vintage 10 (16 ohm).

Um--what else?

Double Welp,
A 12 AX7 sounds much better in the first tube.

Back to more wine, tube rolling, and noodling.

Awesome! Thanks for the spec report! Bet it sounds great. Love the JTM sound. Like to hear hit go. Noodles go great with wine! (alas, it's the weekend and I have no wine  )
