new 2204 inspired build with Clip!

Hello Gents,

Here is a new build that someone commissioned. It has a hotrodded 2204 preamp into a quad of 6V6s.

Hey, Carl! Saw this build with the Solen caps and Metro loop over at TGP. Looking good! What are you gooping your finished turrets with? And why? Does it make rework difficult?

Just electrical lacquer. Melts right off if you need to rework...

Protects the joints from oxidation, plus it lets me know if I soldered the critical connections. Sometimes I miss a joint and I catch it when lacquering.

I'm a big fan of the pre tube positions.
Very quiet when the layout is like this.
And the black Solens look bad ass.
Killer build.
