That guitar probably wouldn't suit my style, but I'm sure it sounds beautiful in the right hands. That thing is a piece of art.

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Sadly, the reason that thing is in such good shape is that it was such a piece of crap guitar that it was never played.
Sorry, and I have played Fenders all my life, still do.

The first thing CBS did to Fender. Expansion has worked out so well for them.

Actually, thanks for this. Now I don't want it so hard.Teleguy61 wrote:Sadly, the reason that thing is in such good shape is that it was such a piece of crap guitar that it was never played.

I was wondering why the price looked so reasonable...

Isn't the Wildwood series the one where they use wood that has had dye injected into the live tree before harvest?

No, I think they give the raw bodies and a case of Sharpie markers to Mrs. Mergatroid's 2nd grade art class and let them have-at-it.

I recall coming across a Coronado in a pawn shop and as soon as I played it the wow factor just vanished.

Ah, the 70s. That idea reminds me of the "flocking" automotive finish - i think it was popular for the entirety of 1973. Horrible, horrible....you could spend all day with an air file and 36 grit and not make a dent in it.
