Stupid Bias Question
I'm throwing together a parts bin amp and the PT I am using requires voltage doubling, and has no CT. Is there any reason that I cannot AC from one side of the secondary for my bias supply, or am I better off using a FWB off both legs?
Re: Stupid Bias Question
Bias is typically taken from one side of the HT secondary before the rectifier. Look at the typical Marshall. The type of rectifier, CT or not, doesn't matter. Bias supply uses almost no current.

Take a look at the AC50 with full wave bridge.
