Traynor Yorkville Sound LTD YBA-2 A/B Bassmate

Post by M Fowler »

There has been a few people working on these old amps lately and I had done a repair on this amp last year.

Though I'd show how I got rid of the old filter cap and made a cap board using the original mounting bolts to fasten the cap board to the chassis.

No new holes were drilled in chassis. So if a guy wanted to buy a more original type cap you could.

Ohhh, that's too pretty! I do similar but no board - just a pair of tie strips. Solder them to chassis with 80W Weller iron. Spare the drill. Nice work Mr Fowler!

Nice job Mark

I have serviced multiple Traynors and have a similar approach. Board or tag strips

Actually I just scored a YGL3 Mark3 Combo for $150
The caps have already been replaced but I have done some tone tweaks

Love these beasts!

.........Now where did I put it?

This amp has a bad power tube socket arced through, never seen that before but had a similar tube socket so it looks stock.

They are good amps for sure.
