I'm definitely not *that* bored. Although I did just finish performing dual-ganged micro-pot surgery on the stereo volume control of my Sony SRF-5. The pot wipers are attached to the main post (i.e. the part you actually turn) via two tiny tabs that broke. Was only getting volume from one side. A little super glue fixed the problem, but getting to the problem was a fucking nightmare. Sony's 80's tech is scary , both good and bad (this is 1986). The attached pic shows the solder side of the board with the flex-PCB that floated over the main PCB acting as a second layer. TBH I've never seen anything constructed quite like it, probably for a good reason. But it sure is a damn fine sounding FM radio and IMO was worth the struggle. it could have been funny but wasn't so much. I don't think the gloved hands can really dance much. They should have hired a choreographer.. and popped a glove on the one.
