The guys over at boozehound labs used to do builds with the cake pans, don't know if this 5E3 build is one of 'em though...

Oh,I got to have cakepan amp now,i think the chassis sound much better and nail that classic fender flavor,they really nail that greesey tone,ya know!!!!!!!!!!!
