bulb as fuse/resistor?
Recently obtained an old solid state amp. A Jordan Entertainer J110. The amp doesn't turn on. Right before 120AC enters anywhere inside the amp, there is a bulb (Sylvania MB316, burned out) on of the leads. I'm assuming this acted as a fuse or a resistor of some kind, but I can't find any info online. Definitely don't want to bypass the thing and damage the amp. ideas?

Is the bulb a pilot light?
From what I can find, it is a 6V lamp.

Re: bulb as fuse/resistor?
i went ahead and bypassed it... amp worked fine for awhile. i jostled it and it made an hum noise, nothing else. found there was no DC and traced it back to two diodes that had physically broken in half. age, i suppose? maybe they were damaged because the limiter was not in place? replaced all diodes with uf4007 and the amp sounds very good. went ahead and ordered the bulb just in case.
