My favorite guitar magazine.

Pretty cool that they let you read the magazine online for free.

I have been a loyal subscriber since it's beginning.

Thanks for the link. That was informative. Interesting that all of the speakers facing the stage/audience are dead.

Also, I wonder if John Suhr would chime in with some details on the pickups he wound for Mr. Beck. I am sure that Mr. Suhr has probably given this information many times... but perhaps once more?

BTW, Jeff Beck has been a tremendous influence on me over the years.

I actually built a guitar modeled after one of his sig guitars by Fender.

How close I got is anybody's guess but I still play it although I added a humbucker to the bridge.

Thanks, it really is a good playing guitar for being a partscaster.

Tom, your's looks great. I don't build them...no time or talent. I have an early 90s Strat deluxe with the roller nut and lace sensors and two point trem. I wore the frets out and it was cheaper to buy a Beck sig neck as a replacement. I put that neck on the body and replaced the pickups with Fralin vintage hots...I don't really like the laces. Some people love'm...not me. That big fat Beck neck is a joy to play. It's a really nice guitar now.

I also have a 58 historic LP with a BIG neck. That and the Beck strat are my two favorite guitars. Turns out I like the big fat necks. I like my women the other way around. And it only took me like 25yrs to find out...I mean the necks, not the women.
