Source for old OD caps and TVA orange caps

Post by M Fowler »

The Kalamazoo Bass 1162 looks like a good candidate for parts source but this one works just fine so escaped the clippers this time.

Those OD caps would go good in Trainwreck builds and the orange TVA filter caps into a Dumble.

Nice!

Those old CC resistors really had long leads.

A good source for old OD caps is in older tube type TV's. Especially ones that have been serviced. That is why OD and Atoms were kept alive for so long, they're usually the manufacturers recommended replacement parts for repairs.

Yup when I was a kid I spent a lot of time clipping out OD's and resistors out of black & white TV's. Also, wire out of many different appliances.

Back before they discovered a little thing called wire.

Mines the up?right one.it had a Millard 6eu7 and a good pair of 7591's .I lifted the tone stack and it screams with humbuckers .the pt is huge for a 7591 amp. I'm thinkin 7591 rocket but the pt puts out about 480vdc.amps did run cathode biased 7591 that high
