Actual phone call to local public radio station: the lady said "what happened to the pleasant young man with the Swedish accent who used to read the storm warnings." She hadn't caught on it was a computer-synthesized voice. Swedish accent indeed! ya-herm da-hingetty pingetty und un schott Akvavit.

Miles, Merlin is trying to give you some castor oil...stop struggling. Would you rather have a stick of butter? One of my dogs ate a stick of butter today and her puke time constant got really short. It's a classic RC problem.

Remote control? Ahh.. you mean like crashing my Messerschmitt into Mrs. Soward's bay window? Wally Voss with another kill.

I can still hear my mother's voice because she is on the phone screaming at me right now. Balsa and tears. That was a wood skinned plane. Shit.

You need a chapter on the difference between tubes & valves. Why tubes sound different from valves.

Tubes are strictly Northern Hemisphere. Valves can be used in the Southern Hemisphere, where they have to operate whilst upside down.
