Merlin is a little too technical
There really isn't a practical guide for amp BUILDING aimed at the real hobbiest; the lazy guy.
I have decided to write a book. A short listing of topics and chapters includes:
That, my friend, sounds like shit!
What's higher than .0022?
Orange Drop Capacitors: The Labeling they Don't Want You To Understand
Ooooh! That Smell!: 10 Things That Can Smell Like A Burning Transformer
Seven Reasons you Should Not Use Vintage Iron
Bright Lights. Big City: How To Convince The Authorities That you Haven't Caused A Regional Catastrophe
Troubleshooting Without Tools 1: Three Places Where Hitting Your Amp might Work.
Troubleshooting Without Tools 2: Guessing Voltages, Tasty Voltages
Troubleshooting Without Tools 3: Warnings And Disclaimers; Finding A Friendly Jury

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

I would like to preorder. Hoping you'll have a chapter on identification and taxonomy of cork sniffers.
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com

Sorry. There is no taxidermy. I could put a picture of a dead horse on the back cover.

You forgot the "It Sounds Fizzy" chapter
Re: Merlin is a little too technical
NO REFUNDS!

Re: Merlin is a little too technical
Needs to be professionally illustrated -- sorta like a "graphic novel."
Re: Merlin is a little too technical
I'd like to put in an order for the Audio-Book version, especially if you're doing the narration!
Re: Merlin is a little too technical

I'd really like to see a chapter on the selection and installation of Amp Blankets. Everyone always natters on about removing them, but not word about how they got there.
Re: Merlin is a little too technical
Also in the prologue please include a section on which end of the soldering iron to hold.

Martin Manning is also a little too technical.
The illustration should be stick figures and lightning bolts.
