Cliff - did you just come out from under a rock? :P Really, just kidding. He's been doing this for years and years. A song like Danny Boy is exactly the type of song that Jeff can blow your mind with. It's also the kind of song the he can kick your ass with and make you feel like a complete loser that happens to think he can play guitar. The great thing about Jeff is that performance is a one of a kind and he will never play it the same way twice IME.

If you liked that then you should get Live at Ronnie Scott's. A whole DVD to make you smile, shake your head, and feel inferior...all at the same time.

He's not bad for an old dood. Or a young dood.. or an immortal badass.

Not bad.

Great clip, but which Beck recording isn't great?

Are those Vibrokings he's using? I saw a Who show and Townsend is using those as well. Great sound from both.

I agree. I bought the Rock N Roll Party DVD over the summer. I love me some Imelda May. That LP he plays is just as sexy. :D

I've been living under a rock my whole life. That was really really good though.

Stratocasters are glorious. Especially when plucked with fingers. Especially when those fingers are attached to Jeff Beck..... Thanks for posting this

Jeff is God's way of letting guitarists know - when you think you've got it,
you ain't got it.
Unique talent.

Both of 'em - my excuse to say, who need picks? I keep a couple around so guests can use 'em. But me, no. OTOH as far as guitar ability, I got a lot of catchin' up to do, pick or no.
