That is an elegant restoration. Original chassis, careful recap (and three wire power cord) some untouched joints, RCA branded Mullard GZ34, 5881s... NICE.

Maybe not an original chassis, unless it was disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. Original PT and correct yellow Astrons though. The black Sprague caps are obviously not original. Yellow cloth wire looks authentic too.

With four G12s I'm sure she sings! I built a 4x6V6 with a pair of G12s in a '57 Twin cabinet and it is sweet sounding indeed!

This is an all original (chassis from a real 5F6A salvage) that belongs to "Inventour" from TDPRI. You should see his collection of vintage Fenders, he has some of the most pristine amps I've ever seen.

That flaming maple matches my Guild Starfire. Either he's got to buy my guitar or I need that cab.

Edit: I notice there seems to be a blemish near the V/T knobs. That's not real. Probably a reflection of some sort. This guitar is in pristine condition.

I'm married. I won't say whether to a women or the guitar or both.

That was, believe it or not, a balsy venture into eBay about 10 years ago. After I paid for it, I prayed it would arrive and then hoped it would arrive safe and sound. OHSC included was comforting and it was only traveling from Harrisburg to Baltimore, maybe 50 miles. After that, I went back to my loose rule that I don't spend on eBay more than I can flush down the toilet and not feel too bad.

If I recall, that was after Fender purchased Guild and they had just shut down production in Westerly, RI. This seems to be among the last production run in RI, IIRC in 1999. It may have been "used" but it looked as if it had never been played. I think the original owner probably didn't have it out of the case more than a few times. It arrived in 10/10 condition. He even knew to loosen the strings to relieve the neck tension in transit. I got lucky. And it plays very well. I have 11's on it -- been thinking for a long time about going to 10's.
