Cliff offers these stereo 1/4" jacks where each of the three elements is switched:

Does Switchcraft have anything similar? I need two switches on each jack, but my client does not want plastic jacks.
I'm rigging parallel output jacks, where I have a dummy load engaged only if neither plug is inserted, and disengaged if EITHER of the plugs is inserted.

I was gonna say that the Cliff Jacks with the Chrome bezel are very classy looking. Haha, and we all know the switches on the Switchrafts will become intermittent long before the a Cliff jack's plastic-ness will cause any issues.
Re: stereo jacks with multiple built-in switches
eeh...ime, the Cliff design has its problems too, when used for inputs. The shorting functionality can get a bit of grime in there and when you remove the cord, you get what sounds like a noisy preamp tube, for upwards of a minute. Those things should really all be gold plated, because gold oxidizes so slowly.Gaz wrote:I was gonna say that the Cliff Jacks with the Chrome bezel are very classy looking. Re: stereo jacks with multiple built-in switches
Switchcraft's mil-spec products are typically gold plated. The trick is finding them stocked. Even the silver-plated Hi-D jax are pretty solid. IIRC, silver oxide is still pretty conductive.
