Folks
I was offered one of these and the price was so ridiculously low I could not resist.
Thought "oh well I can always flip it if its not my deal".
The thing is: I really like it!
The previous owner had it since new in 2003 and it has well over 1000 gigging hours on it.
It runs Celestion 70/80's.
I would like your feedback if anyone has played one or owns one. Am I hearing what I want to hear as a new owner, or is there consensus that these amps sound great?
Frankly the clean channel has me smiling and the overdrive ain't bad with the master volume dimed.
Other than tubes and speakers- what can be done to upgrade, and is there any point to upgrades?
Thanks,
Markus V

I'm confused. It was cheap and you like it. Aren't we done here?Markusv wrote:Folks

HAHA
I was expecting that answer from someone. Thanks anyway.
I am also painfully aware that sometimes one loses objectivity when you acquire something new.
I was hoping others may chime in and share their views and opinions. Perhaps for instance- someone agrees but found that these amps do particularly well with certain tubes or speakers or that some of the internal components benefit from an upgrade.
This forum is about learning from others and sharing info - right?
Sorry if I wasted your time.

Just being snarky. It was kind of a TGP question, though, don't you think?
