Help Identify Tube Tester

Post by playonit »

I just received notice of an Estate sale and one of the pics for the sale has a few boxes of tubes and a tube tester... Can anyone identify the tester and guess to what it's worth might be if operational??...

Does the tester have documentation?

That is the hard part of old testers.
Some have scrolls of paper with tube data on it,
telling you what buttons to push and switches to throw.

Also, notice the meter on the tester.
I think this tester is simple a good/ bad type tester you would see at stores that sold tubes.

Yeah, simple good/bad tester. But what's that mystery gear in the upper right corner of the photo?

Lots of goodies there.

If he was an old guy then there are probably some gems in there.

Is that a Dynaco on left top of that shelf?

The radio gear could be bought and sold and the test gear

Is that another tube tester on the floor to the left?

Buy that room! Tube tester is the emission type, so not very useful. Tubes might cool. What is that keyboard near the phone? Early Apple?

Sad to see such a nice workspace left abandoned. If I was selling this estate, I would require winning bidder to successfully contact the guy's radio buddies and tell them to retire the call tag. RIP, radio ham!

Is that a Commodore 64 by the telephones? :D

I had a Vic 20 for a while before that came out.

64K RAM!

OS= Basic Computer Language.

5.25" Floppy Disc.
That was a real performer, if you liked to watch grass grow.

I'm typing this on my watch.
