Thanks guys I'm sure it was around $56 plus shipping. Colossal did the artwork for me providing a file to sent to Jeanne at BNP Lazer.

The plate is thin metal lazer etched so it really is sharp looking. Depending on the amp's ease of chassis mounting and being careful this is a great product. But take it easy when mounting it can bend or get hung up on the tolex inside the cab when sliding into place. On a 5e3 or 5f6 shouldn't be any problem since there is so much room when mounting the chassis.

Wow! That's a lot of scratch. It looks great and is probably worth every penny to make it so professional looking.

As an amateur who doesn't sell my amps, I think I'll be sticking with unlabled 2-knob builds. If I can't tell the difference between V and T, well, then I'll have to just guess.

I hear you and I do enjoy unmarked simple amps too.

I've spent as much as $97 for an engraved aluminum panel me bad and that was just the front panel the back panel was $70.

Absolutely not a disrespect to anyone here. The situation hasn't been resolved yet, so I don't feel it would appropriate or fair to name the vendor until the vendor has been given every chance to make it right, whatever that means in this case. After that, different story.

as to the alumamark faceplates...download you a copy of Inkscape. You can do panels in vector graphics and send it to your local trophy and award shop. Most likely they have a laser and can do what you need them to. There is a great place her in town that I use.

+1 to that. I pay about $15 for a sheet of material big enough for 4 or 5 plates. Then I do the art in Corel and they put it on the metal (a heat/pressure process that binds the "ink" embedding it into the metal so it cannot be scratched off) for $8 a plate.

The thing is, I can't put my brand on an amp that I know is going to deteriorate like that. That totally makes me look bad. I HAVE to change those chassis. But I can't exchange with the current vendor, because they are probably sitting on a stock of defective prints from their supplier, and in all fairness maybe don't realize it just yet. That wouldn't mean they are not reputable, or that we should boycott them.

Let's just wait and see what how this gets dealt with.

I'm going to throw this out there; the smearing to me looks like a water based paint. I'm curious if the any of the smearing ocurred without it being sprayed with Windex. The reason I bring this up is that Windex has solvents in it and is used to thin water based paints.

I've had good sucess with a couple of Mojo chassis, but I dry wipe then down with a scope lens cloth or lens tissue.
