Do we still need those 7 stickies at the top of this page?

They're placed as a sticky because there is no other place to categorize them.
Having them as a sticky allows us quick access without doing a search and allows to keep discussions going as well as add technical data resources to our Reading Material on Steroids sticky.

Sticky that.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

I am confused by this comment. I don't think there's any misconception about what stickies are in general. I don't agree that there's no where else to put them.

Maybe stickies need their own forum, or maybe even a new network separate from the internet.

I don't run this place I just use it to the best of my limited abilities and stickies work regardless of how dumb my comment may have been to some of you readers.

I agree with Mark, and for reasons of my own.
The Stickies are good to review now and then.
The Stickies (regardless of forum) save a lot of time, especially when a Newby asks a FAQ that would otherwise require some time on the reply attempting to find an older thread.
Stickies are more productive and less frustrating than the "search" function which for a Newby, as when I was, one received less than satisfactory results. Example if one typed in Tung Sol 7581 clicked on search and did not add "AND" one would receive a whole bunch of irrelevant results, some on Book marked Coco Bolo wood, others not the least tube related, etc. Now try typing in Tolex. The frustrated individual posts to a forum.
I am cool with new posts. That's the point of a forum, however, I was exposed to such things as the "Presonance" Control Mod which I would never had thought to look for in the first place if not for the Stickies.
Even stuff that I was well acquainted with, Light Bulb power limiters, the Sticky showed different ideas.
Finally, I have agreed with the Moderators good sense to make certain threads sticky which adds value to the forum.
Stickies don't take up that much space, a lot less than the crud advertising you find on some forums.
Best regards,
Steve

WHERE THE HELL DID THE TOLEX STICKY GO?!?!?!
But seriously, I was just about to say: 'The people have spoken, and the stickies shall stay'. Seriously, I just wanted to get everyone else's opinion in case anyone else was feeling the same way as myself... you know, bored and looking for something to bitch about

This should be moved to the telecaster forum.
