Re: Nashville Amp Expo
I was thinking it would just be like an expo show in big convention center with booths.
but it;s in individual hotel rooms? With no sound restrictions?
Thats awesome.
If I would have known it was formatted like that I would have made more of an effort to be there.
Of course I don't think I knew anything about it till this thread.

Yup - this was a surprise to me too.
I should mention Aleksander's Zagray.
It is an amazing piece of equipment - so versatile.
Unbelievable sustain and clarity.
So versatile that much of it went over my head & beyond my guitar playing ability.
The goal posts have moved - again.
Oh well.

Rather have it in a common space with gobos as traps.
I played through a Splawn that was plugged into a cabinet that was over and done. There was a massive sub octave that followed A and G as loud as the fundamental. Maybe the baffle was separated or the speakers were loose. Umm the more novice peeps over thought patching rigs by several thousand dollars.
Cat 5 amps also very good.
Splawn QR is a great substitute for a Marshall.
I still haven't made it home.
There are vintage shops in ATL.

Absolutely! Very unique design, including an interchangeable speaker and baffle arrangement on the combo, and stepping filters that really moved the EQ around. Miles wanted to hear a jazz guitar through it but they were scarce.Bob S wrote:I should mention Aleksander's Zagray.

You should have seen us tripping on everything in the studio tonight. Stools, carpet, chairs.. everything was afoot. (stuck to something)
