My GM is PTP because it's a design proto. The production GM I would assume is similar to the Virgil and not PTP. That should not sway one way or another. The amps are quality in design and tone. If you like a Chimey Grind the GM delivers in spades. It's extremely fun to plan. I've added a simple MV to mine and soon I may add a master voltage. I want to be able to play the amp in small low volume venues.

Here's a couple of pics. You can see the GM does not have a S/N and I've added the MV control on the back next to the speaker out. The IMG and URL tags don't work for me, so here's the URLs.

Yeah, that's what I thought it looked like. Those demos by Lance Keltner are my main reference points regarding that amp and his is also a proto, if it's not the one you have. Don't know how many were made. I still want gut shots! :wink:

I have that amp. He's approached me to buy it back. When I pull the chassis again I'll snap some pics. Probably soon. Do you prefer the Virgil gut pics instead, since it's a production unit?

Here's some noodling with the Grease Monkey...

PRS-Std24 -> Grease Monkey -> Scumback M75 -> r121

There's a lot of gtr Volume changes so you can hear how the amp cleans up. Also, several PUP changes.

Very cool! I love fawn. Virgil is a great sounding amp, but EL84s are my favorites. I've been wondering about the GM circuit for a while now. I'm curious just how much it differs from a TW Liverpool. It would be awesome if you could post some pics. I'm surprised Lance let that one go.

Great clip! Nothing quite like a quad of 84s. Have you used any AlNiCos with it? Those are my bread and butter. I have an ASW Elegante in a 1x12 I built that's been my main cab for a few years now. Really want to try some Scumnicos with the paper voice coil.

I haven't tried the Scumico. Maybe soon. I'd want two and the price of admission is a bit steep.
