Iconic Marshall tone

People with less skill call AC/DC a three cord band, like its some kind of simple thing. I'll tell ya folks , its harder than it looks! lol. Angus has got iconic Marshall tone, and his skill at lead riffage is second to none, and heavier than most.
Angus is superhuman. I saw him dance and shake for about three hours live opnce. I tried doinbg it once and in two minutes I was exhuasted

And I can vouch for Malcolm, too. Awesome rhythm player. I'm Malcolm in Bonny Scott, our AC/DC tribute. We have a female lead singer, and her son is our Angus. And our drummer is a criminal defense attorney, just in case.

I play an Agile AL-3000 with P90s into my 1984 Marshall JCM 800 2203, Lo input with the Vol dimed, and Master around 3 or 4.

I also suffer from smiling too much while playing. Can't help it! It's fun as hell!

Having played a number of their tunes in a cover band, I can vouch that while the chords are simple, it's not easy to recreate the songs correctly, especially the timing and feel.

You aren't kidding. I saw a tribute band around here (call themselves Bonfire) that was pretty decent, but a lot of songs had timing off, and other little tidbits. I was tickled to see stuff that I don't hear other bands play, though. Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be, Live Wire, and Touch Too Much (sometimes gets airplay, but I only hear it maybe once a year). Malcolm, although one might think he's "just a rhythm player" actually is very responsible for their sound (at least to me).

Forum member Gil Ayan does exactly that. I saw a pretty darn good one called aja a year or so back, but it has to be tough to cover a band that is basically a parade of all-stars.

I don't like 'em. Out of all the Led Zeppelin knock off bands they had the best production, marketing and flash probably but it's still just noise.
