I found my stolen blue V

Post by Reeltarded »

http://1967-flyingv.weebly.com/pelham-blue.html

I know all the details vividly. I put them there. This is one of three copies I made of sunburst number 000027 in 1996. My meth addicted business partner stole it and sold it as real. I have just come to find out the truth.

I want it back.

I found out he's dead just a few weeks ago. Best thing for us all. Anyone know what the statutes are on realizing a theft in an international counterfeit case are?

I think you have an uphill battle and very little chance to recover it, especially considering its location. Kinda like the Ronny Montrose/Gary Moore guitar.

I have successfully recovered two stolen guitars, one from a pawn shop and the other at gun point. You need to get yourself, the current owner, the guitar and a gun in the same room at the same time. I bet then you'll get it back.

Good luck, I hope you recover it.

Juice didn't have any leverage; pics of the offenders kids along with being made to suck the barrel of a pistol tends to change one's perspective. So much so, that they might have enough concern to contribute to a family wellness plan.

Very cool that you found it, buddy. Too bad that it's probably surf green by now because of the radioactivity. :o

You know, I was never a saint in my younger years.

Every once in a while I will hear through a friend that one of my old buddies has died.
One guy who I learned just about everything about Chevy's from died last year.
I didn't find out until six months later, never got to go to his funeral if he
even had one.
Penniless and addicted.
He used to have the fastest car in town.

So sad.

I guess it's time to read the obituaries.

I think I found what to do but probably better to to post the outcome. It's going to be messy. Very messy.

I would contact whoever is in custody of it first, but that could just be the delusional wishful side of my brain. I've been told that I expect too much from others.

I would like to think that if a Japanese person has it that you could appeal to their honor to return something stolen, especially since it is not real its actual value is diminished.

If that fails, I would host up a site saying it is fake and stolen so at the very least this person can not resell it as real.

You can corrupt the sale by establishing it as an artful copy. And you can sue your ex-partner's estate to establish standing to go after subsequent receivers of stolen goods. As to getting it back... well, stranger things have happened.

I sure hope you get it back I had my car and old Les Paul stolen back in 1977
Got the car back in a few days the Les Paul my stepfather called me in 1984
Do you still have that old Les Paul I told him it was stolen he found it.
Some industrial thief's had it My stepfather was in the sheriff's department.
To this day I cannot play that guitar it feels like a rape victim.
If someone tries to steal my Vee it will be the last thing they ever do in life.

Good luck. Steve

Wow Steve, you must have the sweetest amp collection in Juneau. My brother has lived there since 1970 and I've spent a fair bit of time there. How do you keep your speakers from taking on humidity?
Don't you boys know any NICE songs?
